Claire and Trevor Howell first opened their fine-dining restaurant The Galley at the Oyster Smack in 2006 before taking over the rest of the building two years later. Trevor, who heads the kitchen team, has an impressive CV which includes stints with Jamie Oliver at his first restaurant Montes and at Gordon Ramsey’s eponymous 3 Michelin star-winning establishment.
Claire runs the dedicated Front of House team. She first met Trevor at London's renowned Westminster College, where they both trained, and then worked for several years in the restaurants of The House Of Commons, cooking for MPs, celebrities and even members of The Royal Family. Together, the Howells have brought their experience and expertise to give The Oyster Smack Inn the fabulous reputation it deserves.
